In this unique role of Field Analyst/Advisor, you will use your accounting and client skills to provide maximum tax refunds to analyze trucking client business activity and data to discover and provide the maximum refunds for fuel taxes, associated fleet and business taxes, and use taxes.
Responsibilities include:
- Work directly with clients to structure and coordinate data to recommend best practices for maximizing refunds.
- Analyze, organize, and document client records, fuel studies, and interpret data applicable to delivering the refunds.
- You will qualify fleet equipment in accordance with tax codes.
- Provide accurate, detailed supporting documents necessary for the completion of refund claims and/or credits.
- Review completed claims and provide sign-off approvals.
- Support clients in matters of audit and appeals related to the work/services provided.
- Interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and government agencies to ensure effective delivery of allowable refunds.
You will get to:
- Establish yourself as valued consultant and subject matter expert with clients.
- Instruct and guide clients in conducting fuel studies, data collection and organization, and streamlining the clients tax refund processes and related business operations.
- Represent the organization at conferences and industry meetings.
Job Requirements
The qualified candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years of audit and/or business accounting experience.
- An accounting degree, with desire to earn CPA and/or EA designation.
- Strong interest in serving clients and delivering tax savings.
- Interest and ability to interact with the IRS.
- Strong analytical, investigative skills and interest.
- Ability to interact well and communicate with all levels of the clients staff.
- Ability and desire to learn how commercial and government refund claims impact clients overall business.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
