As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you impact German American's efficiency in alignment with our strategic goals.
Your role is pivotal, driving positive change across the organization, enhancing processes, and bringing to life our commitment to excellence and service.
You employ expertise in designing, training, and implementing continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean.
Additionally, you assess key processes throughout the organization.
You are a change agent, coaching, mentoring, and influencing to facilitate the development of a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture by educating leaders, employees, and trained CI partners in the organization, positively impacting our internal team and external customers.
As an independent contributor working at all levels of the organization, you will utilize excellent communication, organization, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
This exciting role allows you to learn key processes in all areas of German American, track progress towards overall organization efficiency and strategic goals, work in partnership with Finance to determine project return on investment, and present recommendations to key stakeholders and executive leadership.
What You'll Do:
Day in the Life - In this role, no two days are the same.
You will manage project cycles from inception to closure, including planning, scheduling and executing projects with all lines of business, which include, but are not limited to, Technology, Accounting, Finance, Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Learning & Development, and more! You duties will include:
Regular collaboration with functional teams, mapping process workflows, removing waste and implementing innovative processes and technologies.
Utilizing your influence and negotiation skills to facilitate challenging project teams, mentor team leads and navigate team dynamics.
Researching and identifying benchmarks, best practices and emerging financial service trends and technologies, ensuring operational standards evolve to meet changing customer and regulatory demands.
Designing and delivering continuous improvement and change management training materials to offer continuing CI education within the organization.
Mentor and coach department CI resources to successfully apply CI methodology and tools in daily work.
Assist leaders with establishment of pre- and post- measurement to demonstrate gaps, improvements and team success.
Travel Required:
Travel within the German American footprint to work with project teams is required, as well as travel for conferences and other activities as needed.
Travel includes day travel and may be up to 50% depending on your location in the German American footprint.

Technical Skills:
Lean or Six Sigma certification, knowledge, and 4
years' demonstrated experience Ability to provide project examples and results Ability to analyze data and discern trends Experience delivering team results and training development, including Lean-based or Six Sigma/DMAIC content and training of other facilitators or CI professionals Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Finance, Management or Engineering Communication Skills:
